    Forecast for Denver -10F

My current low is -2F so hoping to get a bit lower tonight. Should be fun, none of my gear is rated for these temps.
    UQ 0F & SB 5F
Plan to sleep in heavy wool socks, sweatpants with syn overpants, 100 microfleece with heavy wool
anorak, smartwool gloves and Lamby hat.

    Backyard setup

Hope to report a new low in the morning...

So close to the -20F club.
I think I came up with a line for my signature.

My body was warm all night even with my usual 3 check-the-stars trips, re-warmups took about 5 minutes.
Had a little frost on the BBO, used a shug-bib around the neck just laying on the sleeping bag so no frost on the bag. Very cool!
About 2:30am I did suddenly wakeup with a little panic. Was having trouble breathing the cold air. Had to sit up
in the hammock for 2-3 minutes. Then it just passed all was OK. Very strange I think it's an age thing. Sure sucks getting old.

I was warm and could have gone lower with this kit but I seem to have an issue with breathing this cold air. Not sure what's up with that.

Oh man, missed minus 20 by 0.3*! But rounding off? You be there Bro!

Where is the 64* temp reading from?

    What thermometer is that?

    Hi BillyBob,

This Lacrosse is a home indoor/ outdoor with remote transmitter / indoor humidity realtime temps, no hi/low temp storage.
So it could have hit -20F when I was a sleep, I'll never know.
    .
The 64 F is the inside temp.
When I would first bring the unit out of my SB it would read between 70F and 80F by the time I got the camera out it could be anything.

If I was thinking better at 2AM I should have left the readout on top of the S-bag to see how much warmer it was under the BBO vs outside.

The outside temp transmitter was in a stuffsack hanging on the foot end of the hammock outside the tarp.

My nurse sense started tingling. You might think about getting a sleep test done. Seems like quite few of the "elders" are getting diagnosed with sleep apnea and such. Or it could just be the cold.
For I know the plans I have for you, sayeth my wife.
