    Greetings from a Buckeye Noob!

    Hello Everyone,

What great luck! I found Hammock Forums just a few days ago and have been enjoying learning ever since. Of course, watching Shug do his version of Comedy Central meets Ray Jardine would make even the most stalwart ground dweller a bona fide Limb Lover! I'm looking forward to getting in a little practice with my new Hennessy Deep Jungle Asym, a switch from my usual MLD cuben Duo tarp. I know I've got a long way to go, but what a great community you have here. So, I'll just jump in and start swimming. Any advice to avoid the expensive learning curve (I already suffer from Gear **** Syndrome) will be greatly appreciated!

    Thanks,

    Home Run
    Ohio

Welcome from Cbus! We have a couple hangs coming up here in ohio, you should check out those threads. One at Wildcat Hollow this month and one down at Symmes Creek in March. Welcome aboard!

EDIT: I can officially tell you personally, that Stormcrow's UQ's from HammockGear.com are CRAAAZY. You absolutely can't go wrong with it, there's one learning curve problem solved for ya Oh yeah, and I got to try out a WBBB for the first time today, a 1.1 dbl... off... the.. hook.. Seriously considering selling my ENO double to put money towards a WBBB buy. Ask around the forums, diff'rnt strokes for diff'rnt folks and it's all about what works for you. Going to hangs is a good way to get to try out a lot of different gear without having to buy it online first and see if you like it later. Hope this helps some and hope you come out to some hangs.

Thanks for the warm welcome. It would be great to come to an Ohio hang and meet everyone. I can plan for March. Found Symmes Creek...it looks like it's over in the Old Man's Cave area. Hope the snow is still around. I'll be watching for details.
RIP, sorry to miss meeting you but best of luck out in Duck Country.
Stormcrow, went to your site and of course got the bug. Being a reformed ground dweller, I have no UQ...or anything else yet. I'll be hangin around in my HH tucked in a WM bag for a while.
    Thanks again everyone!

Welcome to HF! You'll get all you questions answered here. Slo is right though, go to a group hang and you'll learn it all first hand.
