Excellent thank you. If you could bring two pounds of chicken breast that would be awesome! I've already added an extra pound of andouille.

    Looking forward to meeting you!

Already did! Another two pounds when we are talking about nearly 50 people will be a welcome addition!

I don't know if we'll end up with that many or not... but it looks like a pretty good crew

There is quite a lot of extra parking on the main park road. If you continue strait instead of turning right onto the camp ground road, you will quickly see the paved parking spaces on the right.

Here is a picture from Goggle Earth showing the campground road turning of to the right & the road side parking just ahead.

I believe the rangers cruise the roads pretty regularly, keeping an eye on things.
I too will something make and joy in it's making

Anyone in this group have some extra amsteel and willing to sit with me and show me hands on how to splice 2 whoopie slings (6' whoopies). I will pay for the amsteel. I would also ask that it not be taught using "special splicing tools, I would prefer to learn with easily found items...if that is possible). While at it, I'd like to learn soft shackles or whatever they're called that work like a caribiner.

Oh...and some knot lessons would be greatly appreciated.

Just seems like the perfect group of individuals to ask

Whoopies are a breeze to make. I don't have much amsteel left though. We PIFed what we had left after various projects. I have only about a 10 ft. piece left. I'll bring it and teach you, but it's to short for a whoopie sling. We might get a pair of soft shackles from it.

Sounds Great!! Too bad I didn't think of this a couple of weeks ago and then I would have ordered some amsteel to bring down with me. Darn that hind sight.
