Sorry Nalgene is a brand name. Really any good metal bottle will do as long as it doesn't leak. But that's what the dry bag or ziplock will help protect against.

And yes socks are good so are head beanies and even gloves. I may be bringing my down booties!

Oh yeah plastic is fine, just don't drink the water afterwards in case of of leached BPA caused by heating of plastics containing such chimical.

Oh! Nalgene bottle....I get it now.
I'll also leave the big karosene blower heater at home too. And I'll sleep in darn socks. I sewed up a few balaclavas this week also, but I just hadn't thought about socks to sleep in.

Just bring a blanket, sleeping bag, or whatever to put between the PL & your hammock. That should do the trick.

Rev, Are you bringing the Double WBBB? A $10.00 pad from Walmart will slide between the layers of your hammock and keep you warm enough for this hang. And what are you using for top insulation? Any kind of sleeping bag rated for 30 degrees will work too. Also it wouldn't hurt to have a space blanket, you can slide one of those between the PLUQ and the hammock and it can offer some more warmth.

OK, See if someone has a sleeping bag you can borrow or go buy a 20 dollar one at Walmart that isn't too bulky (square ones don't work in a hammock, get a mummy bag). I just looked at the temp forecast and I believe it will be in the mid to low 40's so a 30 degree bag will work. A 20 would be better but you can always use that PL to line the inside of your bag to make it warmer. I did that once with a 30 degree and it worked out pretty well!

Rev, I have a spare bag I can let you use. I don't remember the rating, but it is practically brand new.
