North Alabama Campout

I posted this a few weeks back, but figured with all the new Alabamians on board now, I would re-post.

A few friends and I are planning a campout, won't call it a hang because they are all ground dwellers, for the first weekend in March. We will be camping at Turnipseed camp outside Cheaha State Park. So far we have about 5 tent campers and 3 hammock campers, Bigbama and Mandydawn from the forums are going to join us.

We plan to arrive Friday afternoon/evening and stay through Sunday morning. Maybe do some day hiking in the area and just hang out. Should be fun.

Sure wish Smarticle and I could join you. Unfortunately we have other commitments that weekend. Sure would like to get back to Turnipseed and hike the other say (clockwise) around the loop!

Yeah, I think it will be fun. One of the guys is bringing his dad, so not sure how much hiking he will be up for...but he can hold the fort down while we hike.
