I own 2 of the GG Thinlight hammock pads and I will say from experience that they will have to be trimmed down to be able to use comfortably in a hammock. The untrimmed pad is really big and has a tendency to wrinkle and fold when in a hammock. I cut mine into a mummy shape, leaving full width at the shoulders, and leaving enough on the sides that my knee/butt area is protected when sleeping in the fetal position. I also trimmed it to length. It works much better in the hammock that way and it does help to reduce the weight and bulk a little.

I assume you are talking about the 1/4" Wide pads? I'm now looking at the 3/8" model that is 19.5" x 59" and I'd trim it to 40" long so it will fit in the sleeping pad pocket on my backpack.

Yes, I am talking about the 1/4" wide/long pads.
