    HH vs. WB

How does the HH hyperlite compare to the WB blackbird 1.1 single layer? I'm looking to go as light as possible. I do like the built in netting. Is there any other hammocks similar to these that are lighter?

Dont know about other equivalent hammocks, but the WBBB is a lot bigger and roomier.....

BB's are like the high end luxury sports car atm. plenty of room and all the bells and whistles. one of the few places it doesn't outshine all the rest is weight, but it ain't shabby in that aspect either. you can't really have both....but you can come close.

I think the best argument I've seen for the BB over the gram weenies, is how much better I hear they usually sleep. If you are thru hiking, then good rest means a lot, and great rest might even be of more benefit to some over the few extra grams. It might come down to a personal choice, like it usually does.

If you need to go lighter, there are many options, and your particular personal comfort demands might certainly be achieved with a lighter base rig. I'd love to have a BB, but being short and well under 200# something else might serve me better or at least as well, for the $$'s.

The price on the WBBB and the Travler are not all that bad either when you take a lot into consideration. For the price of a Clark or others, you could still pimp out either of the above with a nice tarp and still have change in your pocket.

If your looking for lighter you could always go with the BB traveler and a bug net hat thing.
