I was on a 3 day winter camping trip last week-end in Wisconsin. The first 2 nights were car camping so I used a tent. The third night I snowshoed to the campsite in the Black River State Forest. Since we were experiencing a January thaw I chose to bring the Clark...temps were above freezing that night. In fact, when I woke up Sunday morning I found myself in a dense fog. I had the Weathershield only half deployed and slept on the Exped Downmat 7 in my Feathered Friends Eider (rated minus 20) bag...needless to say, I never even got close to cold...
