Uses of 1/8" Shock Cord for DIY?

I've come across a decent deal for some 1/8" shock cord that I was looking to use to create some tarp tensioners etc. But the deal is going to leave me with a large amount so I wanted to ask what other uses of 1/8" shock cord can I not be thinking of? I partly ask this because I have tonnes of regular cord - various styles, sizes etc - that i tend to use for things like stuff sacks, pack cover, gear hammock. I am looking into an under cover as well as a UQ in the future but would the 1/8" be better to use than cord?

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

An advantage of using shock cord for an underquilt suspension is that it "gives" when you get in, but snugs up against you once you're in.

I found some at supply captain. 1000 ft rolls with 95pds break strength for $48. Not too bad considering it is higher quality cord as well. They also sell it in 100ft hanks.

[QUOTE=Grinder;411234]where does one get "a decent deal" on 1/8 in. shock cord??

Quest Outfitters has all several sizes of shock cord and supplies for DIY outdoors gear. They have decent prices and you can buy it by the yard if you don't need 100ft.

Wow...just checked out Supply Captain. That's the best price I've seen on shock cord. Good find.
