I have an ENO DoubleNest and it sleeps one comfortably. My wife and I laid in it together once but we could not get comfortable because it was pressing us together more than we cared for.

depends on your size, how close you like to cuddle, and what is comfortable for you.
my girlfriend and I sleep comfortably in a dbl 1.7 black bird, but we are both pretty small and don't mind being pressed up against eachother.
Tried one night with the GF in the double nest hammock, its doable, but not ideal. Going to take her again soon, was planning on setting up as bunk beds, her in the warbonnet and me in the eno, both under the superfly tarp. We'll see how it works.
I have the TrekLight Double and it has the capacity to 400lbs - and wide body. It is very comfortable as a single, and with a guest. So, far it has been my kids with me.
Talk to Seth at TrekLight if you have questions.
Enjoy!
My husband (Timberrr) and I yet to find a hammock that we can sleep together in for more than one night. We are not heavy, it's the the nature of hammocks to push towards the center.
We own two ENO doublenest hammocks and can lie with each other for a short rest or a bit of cuddle time but we sleep better if we sleep in our own hammocks. We usually set them up so that we share a tarp.
Clark makes a hammock called the Vertex Jungle that is a two person hammock, but it's more for two people to share a bug net and tarp, but not really designed for couples. You won't be close enough to play 'footsies' if you wanted to.
There are a few folks working on making a workable double hammock for couples, and I am anxiously awaiting their results. If ever I were to take on a DIY project a couples hammock would be it.
Dblhmmck has a few threads out there on some of his DIY work that look very promising.

The pictures of that double have given me some ideas. Would guying out a larger double hammock around the shoulders and then adding a line on the bottom that runs along the center of the of the hammock with some tension create two pockets so a couple wouldn't be smashing into each other?
