    I have seen that video, and I like that, but it's not the same as an open hammock. I feel sort of confined..

    Like I said I love my hammock. When I upgrade it will more than likely be with another Hennessy. Just looking for ways to customize it a little more to my liking. Particularly, I think it would make it more comfortable when sleeping with a pad, (to put it in the pocket). Not that there aren't other solutions to all these issues, the thought just crossed my mind, and I thought maybe it would be an easy solution to them.

    I cut my ridge line and used a nacrabiner to put it back for sleeping. I have sat in it and lay in it like an open hammock without any issues. The netting was a bit shorter than the hammock proper but it was flexable enough to give the small amount needed.
