    Finally had a good hang

I believe my problems in the past were hanging in trees that were too far apart. I hung differently today and it felt very comfortable. I think I may have been a little too close together but I just wanted some thoughts and opinions on it:

First time with the cat tarp

Ridgeline was not tight, I would like it a little tighter to keep the bugnet higher but think it will be solved with better distance between trees

This rubbed some when the hammock rocked from side to side, I think if I have more distance next time it will not be a problem.

That looks like about the distance between trees I look for.
If you were comfortable, adjust the ridgeline where it's tight at that point, and you can repeat the angle.
I've never been one to place too much emphasis on following a fixed formula for angles/distances for suspension. Find what's comfortable for you and then set up so you can find it again. The measurements are a suggested starting point - not a rule for your (individual) comfort IMHO.

The distance looks good - the angle of the left-side hammock suspension looks steeper than it needs to be. This can be fixed by moving the tree straps lower on the tree. You'd be surprised how effectively you can change the lay of the hammock by adjusting the height where you attach to the tree, rather than worrying too much about how far apart the trees are.

I find I prefer a slightly-loose ridgeline when I hang my Blackbird. Not as much as yours, but just a a tiny bit of give. Find what works for you, and stick with it.

On the last picture I pulled down on the hammock so it would show the rubbing on the sides of the lashit. With no weight on the hammock its against the D ring on the tarp and I didnt want people confused. However, i think you are still correct
