    help picking a tarp

ive been looking a getting a tarp and im just lost when i search for them. originally i wanted to get a ENO dryfly but after hearing all the reviews decided against it. so my question is are there any tarps that i can get for the same price of less that offers more protection?

Take a look under in the Video are for Shug's tarp series. Might give you some good ideas for what you want in a tarp, and you'll see a few on display!

For the price of ENO Dryfly I would suggest making one...If that isn't your cup of tea you can get a Kelty Noah's tarp 9 or 12 for that $60-$80 price. The Sportsman Guide tarp is also used quite a bit by people around here..

Just when I thought you couldn't possibly be any dumber, you go and do something like this... and totally redeem yourself!

check out campmor and look at the Equinox. Different sizes available but the nylon is a little heavier but it worked out great for a starter tarp. I used it for a year then started to get weight weary.

alot of new ppl tend to get big tarps...it's nice cause there is no learning curve
    and more room for error

that and you can always use your big tarp for winter camping once you get the hang of it..and move up to a better lighter tarp
It puts the Underquilt on it's hammock ... It does this whenever it gets cold

I don't know what the dry fly goes for, but I used a hennessey hex tarp for years till I just got a AHE Toxawy tarp. The HH is 70d PU coated for around 60 bucks. They started making it in sil as well. I have always liked the size and it provided good coverage. I got the tox cause its sil and it was on sale when I got it. Its bigger and has a cat cut. Its a good tarp and a little bigger than the hex. For the money the hex is a good tarp. Advantage on the tox is its sil and it weighs less than hex and ultimately packed down smaller.
