Joining the Ranks

After growing increasingly tired of trying to sleep on the ground only to have all my limbs sleep well, I decided to start hanging. Been doing research for quite a while and decided to go with a Warbonnet BB. I even talked my hiking buddy into getting one for our trip to the AT in April. Put in the order today for a BB and Big Mamajamba w/ panel pulls.

I wish it was here yesterday, but I guess I'll bide my time and design/weld a stand for hanging in the backyard.

Will post some pics when complete.

My buddy and I pretty much did the same thing (the shopping part, not the AT) I'll bet you're going to be very happy!

Welcome to planet ewok. My buddy joined me in the hang fest after he saw how comfy I was his first trip on the AT.

I'm pretty fired up about it, just hope it gets here in time to use a few times before the AT. From other posts, it looks like it may take several weeks for delivery. However it works out, I'm sure it will be well worth the wait.

I guess Brandon updated the site. Ordered my 1.1 double yesterday and now it shows as backordered, so the wait is on.

And it also now shows the 1.1 dl as "Slate Grey". Looks like the black is gone. Glad I got mine when I did!

I'm sure it will be well worth it, just anxious to get that thing up in a tree. I'm a noob and have never slept in a hammock. So after doing research and reading many of the forums here, I'm very ready to get back out in the woods.

I noticed that too, I sent Brandon an email about the status and color prior to the site change. I'm cool with grey though.

Brandon said he had some black 1.1's made while waiting for the grey material to arrive and would fill orders until the black ones were gone and then the grey ones will be be backordered. Seeing as how its been over 10 days, guess I'll be getting a grey one. Could care less about the color, just want to get it up in the air, me bed is killing my back.
