Thanks Tim ... definitely a winter hike ... but we'd love to take you through there sometime. Timing depends on what you're doing but you need to allow a minimum of five hours (old Conley TH and back) if you don't lolly gag at all ... longer is better so you can just enjoy it.

Yeah only problem I had this trip was the fat belly winding me. Everything else worked well ... I was dreading the hike out of Zen and it really didn't bother me at all this time. Back got a bit troublesome on the way back out Rock Jock but again loosing the belly will help on that too!

That's my spring goal ... to say bye to the belly fat!

Great video, Hawk-eye! What a terrific hike!

I saw Ken with the surveyor's tape a couple times; was he marking trail for future improvement or just to find the way out?

That was COOL! Thanks for posting. What was that music around 10-11 minutes? It was purdy... .

Hey Jerry. The tape just makes it easier the next trip. There is faint trail some of the way, but it's easy to lose it and get off track. There are a couple of places where it's critical to be on the old path or it will be much more difficult.
Can't legally improve that "path" but sometimes we have to whack a briar or two to get through.

Tim, I think you'll like it. The lower ledge and Zen Canyon especially. I don't normally use the phrase "whoo buddy", as I consider that Shug's byline, but Zen brought it out of me before I knew what I was yelling!!

Just throwing deadfall out of the way, and of course there were some briars to deal with in places. You mostly just have to push through.
