Amazon: Sex lives of Cannibals (used) $3 - Getting Stoned with Savages (used) $3.65. I haven't looked at half.com, but will start.
Anybody interested in reading them should consider leaving for a thru sometime after March 1. I will probably be donating them to the 2,175 mile library.

Hey I got one, how bout the BIBLE, I have a lightweight OT/NT that always goes on every hike, plus I have it on my ipod. Maybe I am a little biased though.
Psalm 19:1-3 "The heavens declare the glory of God; and the firmament sheweth his handywork. Day unto day uttereth speech, and night unto night sheweth knowledge. There is no speech nor language, where their voice is not heard."
Even though I am a big reader at home I almost never take books out to the wilds with me. I am usually too busy doing other things.
I do take portions of books many times tho. Usually I want/need to learn a new survival skill, so I will photocopy (or type) the portion I need to get it right and take that with me, beats taking the whole book. I practive every skill here at home, but doing it in the 'wilds' is much more rewarding and usually more complicated.
Keeping sharp on skills already learned could be a full time job tho. I sometimes mix new skills with old ones to keep in practice.

Has anyone read Under the Banner of Heaven: A Story of a Violent Faith?
Back on topic, I hang my headlamp from my ridgeline so the light shines on my book. I put my head on a pillow or the edge of my hammock. It works better than wearing my headlamp for me.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?
The hanger formly known as "hammock engineer".
