    wind chill

    I wanted to look up how cold it was on top of roan. It seems by this chart that there is not a huge change in wind chill after a point. Look at the column for 0 degrees and see the difference between 15 mph and 40 mph doesn't really affect the wind chill that much. It is interesting to see the times frostbite will occur.

    Agreed. It wasnt the temp, it was that wind that just sapped the heat out! I wonder if the curve on the graph has anything to do with how less water can be carried in the air as the temps drop...

    I didnt get frostbite, but I worried about it once or twice!
    It could be that the purpose of my life is merely to serve as a warning to others.
