    Dynaglide Nacrabiners?

Has anyone ever tried making Nacrabiners from Dynaglide or Zing it? I was thinking of using them on my tarp to RL prussic attachments. But I wonder if the lanyard knot would be big enough with this small of a diameter line?

i've made a couple of them. i used a double overhand knot instead of a lanyard knot(cause i'm lazy). they hold well in the yank and tug test, but i have yet to use them in any real life testing. i planned to use them as shackles rather than prussic.

I have made several dynaglide nacra biners and have hung on them without trouble. I added a cobra stick slide to give me more confidence and use the diamond knot because it gives me a larger area for the loop to hold to.

For my ridge line I have a sliced eye in my 2.2 zingit. I wrap this around the tree and attach it to its self with a nacra biner. On the other end I I have a figure 9 attached with a 1.75 zing it prussic. Very quick and adjustable.

That is what I did with the 1.75mm Zing It. The double overhand knot held just fine for the tarp and gear hammock.

I've made several from 1.75mm Lash-it to use them on my tarp ridgeline.
They seem to work quite well and the lanyard or diamond knot seems to offer plenty for the loop to rest against.

Yeh, I have a heap with 2mm Dynaglide. Smaller though with a 1" diameter loop.

Haven't loaded them up that much but for general gear hanging etc, They are great.

i use 1.75 Zing-it for my tarp CRL and use nac's with klimheist knots to attach and tension my tarp to it. my nac's are made of braided mason's line. i haven't tried my Zing-it nacrabiners on my CRL because i don't think they will hold tension due to their larger relative diameter to the CRL. (they are mostly all bury except for the loop and knot)
i'll have to test'em on my next hang.

I've used nacrabiners from 2mm dynaglide in my hammock suspension. They have held up just fine.

Here's a Zing-It 1.75mm soft shackle. Over the summer JD, Oh-no and I found we could make these easily in the field. Just put a point on a small twig and used the point to open up a hole in the braid big enough to pass the end of the line thru, creating the eye. Then just tie the diamond knot.
