Hello from Georgia

Hey everybody,

I'm from mableton Ga and am a frequint overnight backpacker. I just recently found out about the whole hammock thing and cant believe I haven't used one sooner. I just picked up an ENO doublenest deluxe for my wife and me today. I got the chance to try it out in my backyard and have fallen in love with hammocks. This hammock is great but it is HUGE for one person so I'm already searching for one to use on the solo trips. I'm also searching for some better straps to replace my slap straps with, but for now they will get the job done.

I picked up my hammock at Going Gear in Smyrna Ga, and just wanted to tell everyone here what a great store this is. They have a great selection of high quality backpacking gear, hammocks, and a giant selection of flashlights. If you live in the Atlanta area, they are definatly worth checking out.

Funny that you should mention Going Gear in Smyrna, I ran across some folks camping at Panther Creek Falls in NE GA last weekend. One of them was using a hammock and he mentioned he worked there. Actually, I saw a number of hammocks being used along that trail. I backpacked to the far end of the trail and slept in my hammock. I was back on the trail the next morning at day break hiking back out and passed a few others that were still sleeping in their hammocks as I passed.

The guys you meet at panther creek are the guys that helped me pickup my hammock. Hopefully I will be getting out to panther creek in the next week to try out the new hammock for real.
