    Hey Ryvr,

Funny you should mention a flag. I printed the HR logo out last night and if you remember my DIY griz beaks and tarp setup, I have an abundance of orange and black dwr lying around. I'm not familar with flag making, but you should expect to see one flying on TomT. Either that or home in on the site with the half dozen or so assorted canoes and kayaks. I could also fly my Canadian flag.

As for booking the site, I'd say go ahead, but my only reservation about your reservation is the obligation that you might have to stay on it, and the island we're aiming for has only two sites. At this point, if we book two permits for the Friday to Monday, we'll have 18 spots.. more than enough (so far). If you like I can call the Park tomorrow and see what they say about letting you join a party already in the park a day late. That being said, if you'd rather go ahead and book then by all means go ahead. Don't let me stop you.

If there are trees overhanging the water I could hang one of these, or float it if it isn't too deep. It's about 2 feet x 1 foot. It should make it easier to identify the site.

Speaking of flags. HammockForums.net has an "official" flag. It can be purchased from:

    Hey Charrd

If you can find out about us joining the group already in that would be great. If its gonna be a problem I'm good with booking my own site.

I'm sure the wife and I can find something to do in the woods all alone....

Ok, while we've discussed the relative merits of canoeing versus hiking, perhaps you may be wandering into a discussion concerning the specific merits of tents over hammocks, something that may be best left to the campfire talk!!

Sounds OK to me on both counts Jiblets. We'll see how car pooling progresses and plan accordingly.

I just booked two nights prior to the hang on Ragged Lake. Tuesday and Wednesday nights. Thursday night will be spent at a drive in campsite somewhere close to Canoe Lake. I was going to book Tea Lake campground, but it looks like a boring spot...and has no showers.

Anyone want to join me? It will be a slow pace relaxing couple days, in preparation for a slow pace relaxing weekend

    Hey guys,

I just spoke with a Park official and posed the question about whether everybody on a permit needs to enter the park at the same time and if someone coming in the next morning could be included as well.

After a short pause they said that as long as the newcomers have the permit reference number and the site limit of nine isn't being exceeded, then it's fine. Otherwise they'd need to get their own permit and sleep on their own site.

Food for thought. It looks like we'll be booking two sites for the Friday anyways, unless we get some cancellations.

That sounds good to me, you can just pm me the reservations numbers and whatever other info I will need to get in. If that doesnt work for whatever reason then I'm sure in May there shouldnt be too much trouble in getting a last min reservation.

Either way let me know I'm easy.
