    Peapod/Sock Hybrid

I have some time, some materials, and so I thought I'd give it a shot.

My goal is to make a rectangular envelope from some lightweight nylon that I have, and to have an inner layer of IX over the inside of the whole thing.

In the initial plans, one end will be closed (except for a small hole to allow for the hammock line ridgeline to enter), and the other end will be open (maybe with some velcro tabs to close it somewhat).

I'm sort of a hack, but have been inspired reading about all of the DIY projects that you guys attempt, and am willing to throw this at the wall and see if it sticks.

I'll post some pics if/when it's done, unless it completely fails...in which case I'll pretend that someone else hacked my HF account, and deny any knowledge of this project.

Can't wait to see the results.
Sounds very similar to an idea that I've been kicking around, but haven't made yet.

i have been kicking around something like this in my head would like to see how it works. My idea was not to go over the ridge line and install a draw string on the open end.
