Hi? (I don't know what to put here)

I'm Thecityfish. I live on the outskirts of st. paul. I have a hennessy and I slept in it once, but I was really cold and also I hung there like a banana. I kinda want to sell it and just make myself a hammock. I also don't have a car, so I've never been anywhere except my backyard.

ps Did I do it right?

Welcome to HF! There are quite a few tutorials here for making your own hammock. If you do, please post the pictures of it. Backyard hangs are always a good idea to test out your new gear.

Welcome to the HF madness! Not sure if DIYing has an available cure as of yet. But enjoy!

You were in need of under insulation for the cold and a diagonal lie for the banana. The HH is a very good hammock. Not that DIY isn't. But I would say fiddle with the HH more before you jump into the DIY cause you will probably have the same issues in that. If not more.
I may be slow... But I sure am gimpy.

I will probably do that. I was also trying to make a joke about the being cold and hanging like a banana. It's ok if nobody gets it.

    Hello CityFish!

Welcome to the CBS (Cold Butt Cyndrome). Most of us here have experienced it. Many ways to deal with it, just search and learn from our mistakes and successes!

As for the banana hang, I have a HH Explorer Dlx and find the lie to be fairly level, especially on my side (my preferred position). Make sute that you DO NOT hang the HH too tightly - The support lines should form approximately a 30 deg angle with the ground. This also reduces the stresses on the hammock and suspension. Then go for a good diagonal lie.

Thanks for the advice Jim. As for the banana hang, that was a joke that nobody got, so sorry about that.

I think we got it, but we've all been there at some point too.
