    Tarp Ridgeline Stretch

I have been using masons line for my ridgeline, but found it to be a bit stretchy for my liking and now I am looking for something around the same weight with less stretch or no stretch. Will zing/lash-it work or is there another rope I should be looking at? Thanks

Can't speak for Zpacks 1.25 mm cordage but that is the lightest Spectra out there.

I use Dynaglide because it weighs less than Lash-It or Zing-It, is still spliceable, does not stretch, and is stiff and resists tangling.

Just put a Zing-it ridgeline on my setup and I'm very happy with it. I've used mason's as guy lines but never a ridgeline. Not that I have anything against it, I just never thought of it.

Thanks for the assistance and I appreciate the weight chart tendertoe. I still have some dynaglide leftover from making whoopies so Ill give that a try. Ill still probably use the masons for guy lines as the stretch is not a problem there.

Hope it works out for you. Report back with it.

I'd be interested to see the weight per foot of mason line.

I only had a small amount of it and already cut it up into chunks smaller than a foot for zipper pulls.

Ill see if I can get a weight for you in the next day or so since I still have a good deal of it.

    Excellent, I'd love to know.

It's a great inexpensive cordage for certain situations.

Hmmm... just picked up a scale so I'll have to weigh my guy lines. I'll let you know what I find.

Like mason line for guy lines but dynaglide and Lash-it are my go-to ridgeline choices. But for the best price - it would be braided dacron used for kites.
