soft shackles, whoopies, ridgeline and double eyed webbing

gives you a flexible system without any hardware such as biners, marlin spikes or rings

thanks all you guys for some great info with this as the result

webbing with loops sown on at both ends, the soft shackle connects the loop of the whoopie sling with the loop of the webbing

the fixed eye of the whoopie is larksheaded to the gathered end of the hammock. Another softshackle is attached around the whoopie sling end and functions as a removable point for ridegline attachment.on the other side, the ridge line goes through another soft shackle on the whoopie and then the ridge line is prussiked to itself, making it easy to adjust.
the soft shackles double as eyes to hang some stuff on.

    swing away!!!

Nice suspesion system. I was just thinking about the easiest way to incorporate a soft shackel into a suspension system to make it as light as possible.

I find this to be the best combination between weight, elegance and simplicity
