    summer pheonix and burrow

Who all has this set up? What temps have you pushed it to? Has anyone comfortably pushed it to the 30's and if so did you supplement with something else? I have a 3 season phoenix/crowsnest rated at 20 degrees and it truly takes you to 20, if not a few degrees less so I assumed it would be the same.

I have the 3 Season Phoenix UQ only, and an inexpensive Walmart sleeping bag. I am positive the Phoenix/Burrow combo would easily get you comfortably into the low 20's multiple nights...

I've added a UQC and they have helped some too - got me down a few more degress for sure.

I have the Summer set and have pushed them too 32* with no supplement (in my undies only), during this time I had my capline 2 top and bottom on and was sweating so I took them off and was in my undies for the rest of the night and was toasty warm, and not sweating! I have no doubt that I could push this set into the low 20's with proper supplements (ie.. cap 2 or 3 top/bottom, pants, jacket or vest, etc...)

Wow! That's good to here. I've just been curious as all my camping thus far has been in ohio, where most the year it doesn't go much lower than 35. I have a 3 season for that and hope to get a winter set one day too. But would hate to use a winter or 3 season in 45 degrees.

Just so it's known, I am a very warm sleeper, almost hot! I am able to push most quilts farther than most ratings!

and I am the exact opposite and have gone down to 35 in my summer set in my skives and short T and was plenty comfy. Any thing below 35 I would use my 3 S set cause I like to sleep warm it is vital to my comfyness. I also find that above 35 I dont have to use a pad under my legs to keep them warm the TQ does that for me. Its a great set of quilts

Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Thanks cranky, I honestly don't even know if I'm a warm or cold sleeper. I'd like to think warm, but probably pretty average. I've also never had proper top insulation and always worn clothes and a jacket(s) so sleep in, in colder temps.

Thanks for the pictures lazy river, Adam makes some nice looking quilts. If your a cold sleeper and taken a summer set up to 35 in your skivies, I think I oughta be able to push it a little lower with all my clothes on. For a rare cold trip I can just use the 3 season uq and the summer tq with a fleece bag. I don't forsee a lot of miles in the winterwithout plenty more purchases to worry about. So that won't come for awhile.
