Edited initial thread-starting post, added pictures uploaded to HF.

I also made one (two actually) pictures are in the gallery, go to gallery search function and search for "gearskin clone" or find all my pictures using user's name "Grinder". gearskin pictures on bottom of first page and into second page.
And when I made mine, I copied from "Deb" who also made one and posted pictures of it. I think her pics are in the gallery too.
This is a good first DIY project because all seams are straight and flat. .

I am still adding some changes here and there. You might have seen that this DIY gearskin has a cord (with the reflex thread) stitched around the sides of it. I use it to modularly change the gearskin. I.e. right now I am using two dyneema cords to close the sides (a bit of work every time when the gearskin is packed), will add cordlocks instead.
