Same here, works well for me. Also, the times I didn't put it in the footbox I found it pretty easy to move the pad into position just using my feet.

for "just a leg pad" i don't use the double layer, it is inside the hammock with me, so i can easily adjust with my hands. (it is easier to reach with a longer leg pad that comes up near your thighs). i've also tried a smaller one inside the footbox of the tq with success as well.

I use mine between the layers of a double hammock so I put a few lines of Seam Grip (or any other silicone) on both sides of the pad.

If you put it inside a single hammock (or on a tent floor), just put the silicone on one side.

I found the perfect way to prevent slippage; I leave it at home.
The few times I do use a pad, I also slip it into the footbox of the quilt. Works pretty good!

Excellent tip I need to try this.
I've been able to eliminate all my condensation issues by using all breathable materials below my tarp except in the foot box where I us a ccf pad and REI sit pad. This maybe the last piece of the puzzle for me. thanks

doign that also keeps my feet from wanting to fall out of the traveler hammock. i take a 24x20 section of pad and that basically forms a U in the footbox of my TQ. that way it is always with me when my feet squirm.

just this last trip i in fact forgot my down jacket, so my TQ became the down the insulation in my front, and that ccf pad became insulation on my back. all tucked up under a windshell. i'll never not carry a 24x20 section of pad
