I am making a bridge hammock and I want to use 7/64" amsteel in the suspension arc channels (instead of 1/2" webbing). I like the idea of burying loops in each end of the amsteel and attaching the spreader bars and end suspension to the amsteel loop ends.

However, I can't figure out how to attach the hammock body to the amsteel running thru the suspension arc channels (without sewing them together) to keep the hammock fabric taut.

Anybody willing to share their method?

Thanks
