Having a crows nest and incubator its really hard to say which one I like better the 3/4 or the full. It completely depends on the trip and if Stella Blue is coming with me (my dog). Overall I like the 3/4 because I use my CCF as my sit, frame and feet pad and at night Stella sleeps on it under my hammock. So for me that's quad usage.
Sometimes I like to hike and think, And sometimes I just like to hike.

Hiking is'ent about waiting for the storm to pass its about learning to hike in the rain.

Well as a newb hanger and obsessive lurker on the site I've been pondering the same question for my first setup. I'm a hot sleeper generally so there's a part of me that thinks the 3/4 would be a good idea. But I like to move around, and tend to overbuy when I get gear, so the full length sounds smart too. When you add the decision between summer or 3 season weight I'm totally confused! too...many....choices....

I worked through that in this thread and got some good feedback. Couple that and what I saw in MedicineMan's Carver's Gap trip report (watch the video), I made my decision. Ordered my 2/3 "Summer" overstuffed quilt from Hangnout and LeighLo this week and will either be ordering some Gossamer Gear 1/4" CCF or just carving up a blue Walmart pad I already have.

After seeing Medicine Man's report I can start to see the wisdom of the 3/4 and the pad so you could go to ground in an emergency....more to think about.

I have been poring over UQ information, and I'm loving this thread! Even though it's making my decision harder than easier!
