Good stuff as always shug thanks.

I just overheard this on Sector7 radio-
.."and next weeks video, I'll try to play the mandolin and ride my unicycle in the hammock, while jugglin'.."
    Stay tuned.

LOL! Good one, loved the sloMo! I have had the same thing happen when I was careless about lining things up in the cinch buckle, gave me a somewhat slow slide to the ground! Put a little abrasion on the strap edges. Sometimes I use a back up 1/2 hitch just for safety but really I have never had one slip at all if I lined things up correctly.

Odds is right. There's a right way and a wrong way to thread them, but they'll still slip with 1" webbing...gotta half hitch 'em.
Glad you're none the worse for your unplanned descent.
    Too true on the webbing!........
Luckily my reactions are still fairly good on falls ..... the circus clown life helps that.

Juggling in a hammock is just too amazing. It seems like when we take a fall it always comes by complete surprise Glad no damage done to the ol' backsides. Enjoyed the video and sure like the pickin'.

I got some slip once but never the full ride. The new buckles never slip and are lighter too.

    Webbing Fails can come true
    It could happen to you
    Without a slippery knot.

    To survive your beehive
    when it's coming alive
    use a slippery knot

    For all that it's worth
    when your coming to Earth
    The thoughts in your head
    When you're loosing your bed

Will be next time I'll get smart
with my webbing I will start
with a sound secure loving easy
    Slippery knot
