    Hi from MN

Spent too many trips sleeping in puddles or on unfortunate rocks. I was just looking for a way to take a decent nap!

...And then I found all of this. Hi guys!

I mostly trip paddling, but am opening up to backpacking. Anybody done the Superior Hiking Trail? That's about as far from home as I can get for a while.

Welcome - I'm a newcomer here myself. Still doing the research on hammocks as those rocks in Mn are getting harder each year.
I have 'section hiked' much of the SHT over the course of many years during our yearly family vacations. Then I come back later each year for a solo canoe trip in the Boundary Waters.
I hope to thru-hike the trail this year since I will be retiring and may have time on my hands (and orders to get out of the house).
Do you have a hammock yet? Still looking for the right one for me.

Whoops - if I would have looked first I would have seen that you already have a hammock. That hammock is on my short list.

Welcome from another Minnesotan. I haven't personally done SHT because I just moved up here. But, I'll be up their ALL the time once this snow goes away. See you on the trail.

Hello and welcome from the Duluth area.

I've done a few small day hikes on the SHT, but this year my son and I are going to do a few weekenders and we're going to try to get out for a little longer hike, as well.

This forum has been a HUGE help to me with all of the information and it has also saved me a ton of money by allowing me to replace some of my aging (heavy) gear with more up to date, lightly used stuff.
If your lucky enough to be outdoors, your lucky enough!
