    The hammocks are taking over

My living room should now be called the hammock room!
Thanks to you all I believe I have put together the ultimate in comfortable, reasonably light weight hammock camping!Took me about 5 months and an unreasonable amount of my disposable income, but I think the setup is complete.

For me: Warbonnet blackbird 1.1 DL in black, with a black Hammock gear 900 fill 3 season set, burrow and incubator. Whoopie sling suspension with 7/64ths amsteel going to 6 ft polyester webbing. Light anodized aluminum toggles spliced to the fixed eye of the whoopie sling allow for more adjustment that a clip/carabiner setup (in case the trees are small and close together) with the hardware weighing only 5 grams. 6' amsteel 7/64th hugger extenders for the huge trees up here in Oregon with locked brummel fixed eyes on both ends. MacCat ultra tarp in silnylon with home done pole mod for high winds/snow, with home made mosquito netting snakeskins and 1.75mm zingit guylines with self tensioners and locked brummel fixed eyes on the end, prussics made from kelty triptease around the D-rings for easy adjustment from inside the tarp. Ultralight titanium stakes.

For wife (the cold sleeper): Warbonnet blackbird 1.0 DL in coyote brown, with blue Hammock gear 900 fill winter set, burrow and incubator. Same suspension system including toggles and hugger extensions. Warbonnet Superfly with doors in olive brown, with the same spliced, prussic adjustable guylines. Shock cord for side pullouts and for the doors. Same ultralight stakes.

It's been quite the process learning about all of this stuff and gathering gear, lots of fun and wanted to share my joy in feeling like I have the perfect rig

Schweeeeet! You have put a ton of thought into that. Kudos! I took the easy way out and bought my HH Exp Deluxe with the large Hex Fly and Supershelter. I know it's cheating. But it was all there...just staring at me on the website. Only mod I've done is the 1/8" Amsteel whoopies and ridgeline. Getting ready to send it out for a #2 Zip mod. I envy you and your DIY abilities and researching patience. Again Killer set up! Like CK said, can't wait to see you at a hang.

Great setup! I would love to see a close up picture of the way you attach your pole mod to the Ultra. I am planning this for mine and I'm looking for ideas for the pole pockets.
