I use a AHE Bear Paw synthetic pillow and love it. The elastic cord that i hook to the ridge line keeps it from getting lost.

I made a pillow out of some climashield scrap and some 1.1 oz nylon. It's slippery, so I attach mine to the RL with a tiny nite ize s hook and some shock cord. It's about 12" by 7". I use it on my neck when on my back and cheek when in my side. Also adds a little insulation when using 2/3 uq.

    Pillow in hammock?

I use a child's "water wing." If you can find a pair of those inflatable swim cuffs that encircle a child's upper arms AND have one flat side, cut off just that flat part. Inflate to your preferred firmness and place it under your neck. If you like it, you have two pillows for about $1-3 and maybe 3 oz. I keep my night things in a bag made from a recycled Tyvek envelope. With time, it softens and feels more like cloth. That helps with the sticky plastic issue.

i use a cheap WM pillow very similar to the one you are talking about. i have not had any issues with it up to this point. the only thing that i do differently now that i am hanging is i don't inflate it as much.

Thermarest stuff sack with fleece lining. Makes a great pillow for me. Also my clothing stuff sack becomes my knee pillow. I love multi use items.

A little pricey, but light and REALLY comfy. Love it.

    Grand Trunk Travel Pillow

For around 9 months(?) now I've been sleeping regularly in a hammock at home, and use a Grand Trunk Travel Pillow. I also have a smaller down pillow, but at the end of the day it's barely worth using.

The Grand Trunk is much better. It's got a decent size (perhaps 1/3 or 1/4 of a normal American pillow), with a cinch cord around it that allows you to customize the level of support that it gives. So if I'm watching TV or browsing the web, I can easily get my neck "just so", but when I got to sleep I usually let it loose. It works well for both lying on your back and getting a side "half-fetal" thing going on where the pillow is in between your shoulder, your head, and the hammock.

It also comes with a stuff sack and gets down to a decent size. Not minuscule - the down one I've got packs into about the size of my fist; this is maybe twice that.

Anyway, I put daily use on that thing and I recommend it.

I use this. I have to have a contoured pillow for a neck issue and pondered how I was going to get that in my hammock. Problem solved!

That is the only thing I miss since I have switched full time in the hammock, is my pillow..
I had some left over fleece from making a tq, about 16in. wide just rolled it up to about 4-5 in. diameter, tack sewed it so it wouldn't unravel. It fits behind my neck perfectly. No neck issues..
We would be one step closer to world peace, if everyone slept in a hammock..
