Man Thursday just can't get here quick enough for me.
It's 96F again and my house swamp cooler just can't keep up.
I am so ready for some cool mtn air.

Well I'll let you try it but you may not get to stay long.

Thanks Walking Bear. I can understand about not staying long. Really there's lots of gear I'm probably gonna be all over. All I can say is anyone is welcome to go through my setup, cause im gonna have loads of questions for all y'all about how and why you use what ya do.

Just got back from the final shopping trip, looks like I'm gonna be 21lbs 9oz. Total for the trip.

Temperature was 102° here today. if there's any snow left when we get there I may just lay down in it and not get back up.

That's insane. One of my main objectives of this trip is to check out the gear everyone is using and how the hell you're able to pack so light. It wouldn't matter if I was going on a 4 day trip or 4 month trip, my pack is going to be 35 lbs at least.

    change of schedule

My Thursday evening meeting is cancelled. I will be leaving Denver about 6:00 pm. and getting there before dark.

We are still having a pot luck on Friday night.

Some of the car camping gear can be stashed in the vehicles left at Jefferson Creek. We can keep our skillets, lawn chairs etc., until Saturday morning. OK, you can take them on the hike, but I am not carrying them.

I am looking forward to meeting you all. This is going to be fun.
