    Jeff's Gear Hammock/Pack Cover

I ordered a package from JRB a little while ago with the Hammock Camping book, Tree Saver straps, and this unusual and cool little item. Here is a link for those who haven't seen it.

According to USPS my package was received by Canadian Customs yesterday, so I'm fairly confident I'll get it tomorrow . I'm really excited for this, I was just wondering if anyone else has seen/used one of these.

    i love mine.
have used it as a water bladder, pack cover, and gear hmmk.

neat little piece of kit. it always seems to find its way into my pack.
i got the green one. would rather have the blaze orange one now, though,
for hunting season it would be really handy.

Most on the forum will have heard of them, since Just Jeff (one of the Admins) invented it.

Here's a link to his DIY page about them.

I have used it as a pack cover and a gear hammock. It is a must have on any trip I never leave it at home.

I have every intention of getting one of these. You can never go wrong with a piece of gear that has multiple purposes. Living in a hunter's playground like Pennsylvania I can see myself getting the orange one.

I just got one the other day, and I have to say I really like it!
I used to keep my gear on the ground on a piece of Tyvek, you know the big pile of gear that you dread on the hard blowing wind as something will go flying (luckily it hasn't happened yet)! But I tried gear hammock out the other day and it worked perfectly!

I've been wanting to get one of these too. I think the orange seems beneficial. They seem pretty easy to make, though I'm sure I'd screw it up somehow hah.

Im a motocamper and i was looking at this as a solution for storing my motorcycle jacket and pants during the night. Is this tough enough to hold about 3.5-4kg worth of stuff and will it disbalance the hammock hang?

thank you for taking your time to answer me
