I bought my HH from Tom himself at Trail Days '05. Nice and low-key, non-pushy salesman. Some time later I also contacted them with some question and like everyone here so far, I got prompt, nice, knowledgeable response back.
Sure, if I had money to burn, I might try two or three other brands of hammocks, but until that day, I'm happy to stick with my HH and their great customer relations.

Cool to read all this. I have never even laid in a Hennessy but I do love to hear of folks happy with their rigs.....and customer service.

One doesn't get good "customer service" everywhere these days. So it is esp nice when one does get it. HH is one of those places.
I do have a fault with HH though. They gotta stop putting stuff on sale!
My bankbook can only take so much!

I ordered 2 hammocks from HH last week. Got my order in exactly one week later, which was awesome.
The only issue I have is that they didn't respond to the one email I'd sent that might have avoided the mistake they made in sending two of the same hammock, instead of 1 Expedition and 1 Explorer.
But again to their credit...when I called them this Monday, they IMMEDIATELY took action to have the wrong hammock picked up and the correct one shipped, and it should all be fixed this upcoming Monday.
So from my perspective...stuff happens, and they worked to fix the problem immediately when I called. All good.
I agree to all the good experiences. When I bought my HH in Germany and have had some questions about the special knots I did not know, immediately I 've got a qualified and helpful answer per e-mail. Thanks a lot!
I have 2 HH's and recently wanted to buy something not listed specifically on their website. They responded very quickly to my email and I got what I needed.
I am glad that this thread is what it is. When I saw the title I said to myself oh not a bashing thread
I also have had excellent service from Hennessy. I own three of their rigs and am quite pleased. My last purchase from them was in 2009. Last week, I ordered 2.sets of snake skins. They still had my information in the system and I think the whole process was less than 5 minutes. I was impressed.

I had exceptional service from Hennessy as well when I bought a customer return refurb a few years back and it didn't live up to expectations. They sent a new replacement and let me keep the refurb. Couldn't ask for anything more!
First post on this forum and I am proud to report myself as another very happy Hennessy Hammock user. I once broke my ridge line because of my own stupid mistake and they replaced it for free. The customer support was way above and beyond my expectations. They have my highest recommendation. Oh, and I love the hammock as well.
