With a fleece lining it's not so much the weight as it is the bulk. But the fleece lined one is right at 2lbs.

The ends aren't whipped, they are channeled like Grand Trunk hammocks. With the fleece lining the balls on the ends are about the size of a softball and look ridiculous.

I got the skeeter netting put on the camo one, I thought it turned out amazing. it's in the kitchen right now, can't wait to get some daytime pics of it tomorrow.

I'm just being lazy and not wanting to search, so, were did you get the camo mosquito netting. It looks too cool. Also, I assume the hammock is 1.1 ripstop? Same supplier? Just curious. They look fantastic, way to go, I'm envious.

1.9 outer, 1.1 inner, and I had the realtree netting already, I remember getting it in the hunting section of Wal Mart many years ago. I wasn't planning on putting netting on it until I remembered I had that in my Hunting bag.

It's a bit heavy by backpacking standards, but not too bad. I can carry it without issue. I can't wait until the next hang in my area to show it off.

This is the same stuff, you can get it in 3 different patterns.

Both look really good! The cool factor of the camo one is definitely up there!

Ahhhh.... yeah, that makes sense. I might try adding a fleece layer to the inside of one of my already completed hammocks by sewing it along the sides only, and stopping just before the whipping. Don't know if it will work.

Uh YEAH! I think that is a fair assessment.
I looked for this netting at WW a couple of weeks ago, but didn't find it. I think I'll try again and ask the clerk this time.

Some pics from the inside, and some outdoorsy pics. It's really windy so It's not quite laying like it should. The results are terrific if you see it in person. I also made a 3 pocket mesh ridge line organizer as well that holds a cell phone, smokes, lighter, and a few other things.
