Goat Island Hang, SC May 20th-22nd

Couldn' t take it anymore. Doing the backyard double hang with my 8 yr old. She was ready to get out as well. Typing this from the hammock. Pleasant right now with no topquilt but have the 3 season burrow ready for action. Low is around 51*. No rain in the forecast. All is good!

Regretfully, I will no longer be able to join in on the fun of the Goat Island Hang. My daughter's soccer tournament is that weekend.

Finally I have moved from counting weeks and days to counting days and hours

can you tell I am excited about this event. I am even taking my kids on a pre-Goat Island trip at Parson's Mtn this weekend.

I noticed on the sign-up sheet that there will still a lot of names in the pencil column. What's the deal? It also looks like there are still a few open spaces for people to sign up to bring food stuffs and accessories for the community meal (what ever name we are calling it this time - LowFrogBeaufortCountryMoreBoilStew

) It looks like we still need corn and sausage. Or you could even substitute your name for someone else's name.

Still working on getting a better price for shrimp. Rumor has it I might be able to get it for $8.50 per pound. Local SC shrimp, fresh, not frozen. Might be the best deal I can find. Will confirm on my way home form work today. Sounds like the pot might be a bit more full than last year's

. May need to cook taters, corn and sausage seperate from the shrimp. 16 pounds of shrimp

Wow. Ya'll better be bringing the appetites. Hoping to see that number grow but Looks like I might need a final count by Monday so I can put in the order for a Friday pick up.

OK. . . all you "pencilers" clear that schedule and lets get ya'll moved over to the "PEN" column!

For those not wanting shrimp (allergies or just don't like shrimp whatever...), you'll be able to feast upon the sausage, corn and potatoes since they will be cooked separately. If that doesn't appeal to your likings, Hanging Burrito may have some leftover potted meat

from his Gorge trip you might be able to pry away from him.

so far we have 2 motorized boats available to shuttle people. PM muskrat and get contact info from him. He is the main fairy(wait that's not right is it

)? and swampfox also plans on having his boat there. If you show up we can get you to the island
