JUst FYI since it really hasn't been talked about. . .

No facilities on this island so be prepared to take care of your business appropriately. Please be mindful of the kids.

Also, there is no water so plan to bring some with you. I believe we can fill up jugs at the marina, never had to do this before so I can't confirm that but if needed I can re-fill jugs at my inlaws.

Not so brilliant question: Is this a hang where someone would "mentor" me into knowing what I'm doing with my new hammock? I don't want to be a bother, but I can see myself going through the weekend mooching advise and canoe rides from everyone. Should I count myself out because I'm too much of a novice?

This is exactly what the hangs are designed for. There is no such thing as "mooching" when it comes to hammocking. This is how we all learned, and still learning. We will have more than enough food for the Saturday evening meal so join us.

Ha! So what is my best course of action, to plead my case to the masses and have someone meet me when I get there to help me out, or just go, attempt to set up and put on my "lost little girl" face until someone pities me enough?

I've only ever set my hammock up wrong before. It'd be nice to set it up the right way, haha.

Also, my vocabulary is heavily influenced by the military, and while I'll try to be good around the kids, I think its safer for all of us if I set up on the PG 13 side of the house.
