    There are never bad times on Springer.. they are always good. I miss living in Georgia but I do prefer the Whites where I grew up.

    Yeah I think the whites were better, but down here no need for Everest gear in Jan. But GA has no signs or people telling you what you can and cannot do.

    Maybe not on the trail, but last time I stopped to get some supplies on the way to Vogel State Park they told me I could not buy any beer, and it wasn't even a Sunday! Had to drive 10 miles to get out of the dry county!

    yeah, i've gotten behind on reading HE's trail journal... so i can still spend time on the trail w/ HE before i finish

    Congrats HE. Now you have to find a something to fill in the time until your next adventure. As for anothoer Idea, The Great Eastern Loop. Its a loop hike of the A.T., North Country Senic Trail, the GET, and the Benton MacKaye trail. Just a thought, again congrats.
