Thanks, if you make it down my way I will be more than happy to return the ride and place to stay favor. I am eyeing section hiking the BMT. That probibly won't start until this summer. I want to do a trip to the South GA swamp before the bugs come out.

The sad thing is the next major adventure is in it's pre-research stage. Unfortunatly it will be hammockless. But there are not much trees in the high desert.
Is that too much to ask? Girls with frikkin' lasers on their heads?

Congratulations on finishing your journey. There are lots of backpacking opportunities within a couple of hours of the Atlanta area and year round trips are possible without brutal winter conditions. The Pinhoti Trail in Alabama and the Foothills Trail in (mostly) South Carolina are little known jewels. Of course north Georgia, Tennessee and western North Carolina have some great trails too.

From your quote above, you learned a great deal and have the wisdom to use it.

    Yeah definitly not.

I am uploading a bunch of pics to the TJ and working on the last couple entries. I plan on doing a couple post hike thoughts entries.

Thanks everyone for following. Let me know if there is something that you think I can do better on my next journal.

    Congrats Nate.

I immensely enjoyed "hiking with you" through your trail journal. You did a great job telling us like it was. Thank you.

Your occasional "rants" also taught me to be very concious and very polite to the thru hikers I hope to meet in the coming years! And.. don't ever think about hiking with a dog

Pinhoti trail in Alabama is nice, but no shelters!

    Good times on Springer
I was expecting a story about a bisexual dwarf a fight over her not-so-secret tryst with her cousin.

Nope, just some people and some very sweat tea. But what you are saying definitly seems more interesting.
