The toughest goal I've ever set for myself.

I've always loved animals, nature, etc, (even more when I can get pictures too) and I happen to have an iPhone app called "Birds of Canada" It's basically a catalogue of the 470 odd species of birds in Canada, with habitats, locations, pictures, sounds, everything. Just for fun, I've decided that I want to try and make my own catalogue, and see how many of the species I could find and photograph to make a catalogue of the birds of Canada.

Although it would be tough as hell, imagine how cool it would be if in 5-20 years when this thing could be finished, I could put together my own little Birds of Canada photo guide. I'm already taking pictures of them when I'm out, so why not

Lots of bird shooting will occur, with none hurt of course

Make sure you come down to Point Pelee. Worlds #1 location for bird watching. (during the spring/fall migrations) and quite good the rest of the year too.

Near Windsor, Ontario. (Actually closer to Leamington/Wheatly).

    (warning bring mosquito repellent!)
    I ride a recumbent.
I like to HAM it up on the CW.
    I use Linux.
    I play go.
Of course I sleep in a hammock!

    Rug.

    Hang On!

I was planning on heading there in may or June for a Saturday, camp out, and leave Sunday night so I have a weekend

It's a good thing the WBBB by then and will be mosquito proof

Yes a noble goal and you'll have a wonderful excuse to get out and about and in some incredible spots to add to your list. I hope for you there are birds on the list between Banff and Jasper-one of the most beautiful places I've ever been.
I'm not a birder but did see the Royal Albatross on the Otago Peninsula...even not being a birder this animal was flabbergasting in its size.
    Good luck in the pursuit!
