Youngest boy's an animal - solo hang this weekend...

Well, looks like I've created an animal...

My youngest boy of 8 asked me to set up the hammock out front for him this weekend, and slept the night out there.

I'd have been out there with him, but I only built one hammock stand.

Temps were a bit warmer than we've had lately, a bit above freezing, I'd say.

    He had:
HH Scout (with zipper Mod #4)
    Hammock Gear 4 season incubator
REI mummy sleeping bag (temp unknown, prob 0F), used as TQ
    and...
+20 bag under him just in case

    Report...
He woke up at sunrise, played outside for a bit, then came in for breakfast...

It was actually the first use of the Incubators we received last week. Predictably, he said he was too warm and sweated a bit. The extra bag I put in there with him was overkill for sure, but I wanted to be sure he was covered if the UQ because loose somehow....

Very cool! Seams like not many 8 year olds would want to spend a night out by themselves today.

Wow that's great. Such courage from such a young guy. He'll be out in the woods on his own before you know it.

That boy's a heck of a lot braver than I was at 8 year's old. Really cool kid you have there.
