weather looks pretty good...hi 50s and lows mid 30s...chance of light rain everyday...good hiking weather!!
I'm very curious to see where my pack shakes out weight wise...I'll post.

well, pack weight is in...the weather is getting dicey (snow/rain) so, I added items
Pack base weight (no consumables) - 17.0 lb
Food for 5 days - 6.5 lb
15 oz of fuel - 15 oz

Total Pack weight (including 1 ltr water) - 26.5 lb

no water or food caches. I was looking for a few lbs lighter, but I chose safety...
Mule has decided to join trail reports upon return We are leaving tomorrow AM and should return Sat.

KT......Last year myself and 3 others thru hiked it.....started north, and went south. it wanted to kick my butt, and almost did....but i made it, slow, but made it.....honestly it's not a good trail....great location....but the trail really sucks...the person that designed it was NOT a hiker...

Now the fun stuff....

Anyone interested in hiking 1/2 the trail this fall with me? say......mid to end of October? we could spend 2,3-4 days on the trail, taking out time, and having some hang fun.......
SHutle cost will be gas money....say $25.00 split between who ever goes....

I may be on the trail about that time myself. I'll be going south to north, and plan to trail journal. I've yet to come across one that covered the entire trail.
