    Clips

Thanks. The clips are commonly used in the boat canvas industry, to hold fabric in place while you're fitting a cover.

I tried out my "system" right there in the enclosed porch down to 27F the other night. It's actually on bungees and fit fairly snug. However, I wasn't using a pad and the bottom of my legs were cold in spots.

Actually, I was just squeaking by with my Western Mountaineering 30 being used as a top quilt. I'm pretty much working with what I have regarding gear.

Tonight I'll be heading out again in the same temps, only this time I'll include a full length closed cell foam pad and an extra sleeping bag. In addition to my WM I'll have a Marmot 40 (synthetic).

It's funny. I thought I was braving the elements (well, 1 element), until I saw Shug's video on YouTube today when he was out in -26 F.
