    Murphy's Law

Why is it, every time I order something it shows up hours after I leave for a trip where I would have liked to have used it? Seriously, this has followed me through two different hobbies over 12 years.

At least the silver lining here is that I have a new hammock on the way! I got the tracking number for my DL 1.1 Traveler late last night. It appears that it will arrive Friday morning, just hours after I leave for a backpacking trip. Looks like the good old ENO Single Nest gets one more trip in before it's retired to the loaner pile.

I feel your pain. A couple of times I have received gear the Monday after the weekend I needed it. Go figure.

Murphy's Law states: "That which can go wrong will do so & at the worst possible moment" and I have made my living on the fact that this is SO very true
However, at times I tend to believe that Mr Murphy was an optimist in the extreme, as things often don't go that well.

I do feel your pain, I sometimes get my gear a day or so AFTER a trip ends.
When you have a backpack on, no matter where you are, you’re home.
PAIN is INEVITABLE. MISERY is OPTIONAL.

I'll be honest, I'm just happy to have a new hammock that has a little more room. My ENO SN has been great and a real gram saver but it's a hair cramped for me.

If I ever meet Mr. Murphy, I'll be spending the rest of my days in a small concrete room with steel bars. Really, I daydream about it sometimes.

I'm a fan of finding the silver linings in life and having a new toy waiting for you when you get home certainly isn't a bad one. Plus, it gives you a perfectly good reason to plan another hike in the near future. I mean, you can't just let it sit there...right?
    Trust nobody!
