Turtle Feet is out there now. I have been following her journal and a few others for some time. Here is the link:

Following Turtle feet also. Seems like a stong hiker. Northwoods Wisconsin gal. We're rootin' for ya !!!
I start the PCT on April 20.
I'm taking my hammock, of course. My wife is hiking with me and will also have a hammock, but we may choose to sleep on the ground pretty often to "snuggle".
Anyway, I have an online journal at postholer.com/hayduke
Life is hard? Compared to what?

hey hikelite- so exciting that your wife is coming now!! awesome!! see you out there!
I'm keeping mine on my blog. Hard to make entries from the trail, the smart phone has some issues posting in my blog at times but I will be doing so at every stop along the way. Holed up in Hiawassee tonight, stormcrow and I started late on the 26th, got lost in the fog getting up to Springer. Stormcrow is traveling with me to Hot Springs.

I completed the AT just over a week ago, my hammock served very well. Only one near mishap, a tree (about 10 inch diameter) uprooted on me and in the morning the hammock was almost on the ground. The soil was very mossy and soft and it rained all night.
