Anyone bought one of these yet? I just spotted them in the Outdoor Products display in the Sporting goods section?
It is pretty compact and light.
Thinking of picking one up for my 6 year old to use as an Asym tarp.

For $10 it looks like something to have on hand. I don't think I would rely on it if there was severe or wet weather in the forecast, but I'd guess it could handle a passing shower. I'll definitely be on the lookout for one.
Looks like it comes in several sizes:

Interesting, have not noticed it yet at my local WW. I did pick up one of the new $4.88 pack covers they started carrying, and it is not too bad.

Amazon has them, but they are $20 + $9 shipping.

Aren't those like your typical blue tarps? I picked up a couple 4 x 6 blue tarps from sutherlands for a $1 a piece. Don't know what to use them for yet but may come in handy
I pick up one to see what it was. they are pretty nice for 9$. I was going to see if I could modify mine to be used as a door on my hex tarp. No they are not like the regular tarps. these are some kind of poly coated material.
"To God Alone Be The Glory"
A few months ago I attended a conference. After the conference were a variety of sponsored parties. One was in an open, shared office space building. One of the companies that happened to occupy the space did a lot of design and testing work for Outdoor Products.
I was able to see a variety of prototype and pre-production OP items, many of which should be coming out soon.
I was a bit impressed when I saw them, and even more impressed after talking to the designers. Sounds like the stuff is pretty well thought out and thoroughly tested. They said that OP is very keen on evolving and improving products.
So... because of that experience I've been eagerly awaiting the new products for the summer season. So far, I've only seen a few things in WW that I saw in prototype form...like their new S biners. Should be some more cool stuff turning up over the next month or three.

I have 2. I got them from Wal Mar,t they are good even just to have to cover a pack or a fast shelter until you get your hammock up of coarse. (smile) I think they are worth the money that is my 2 cents.
For $10, I'm willing to give it a shot. Although 5x7 is a bit smallish for me...
