On my tarp, I sew two bars, and then to boxes with 1 X in each. The grosgain is the bread around the filling of the tarp and the reinforcement underneath.
I like big hammocks - I cannot like.
that's kind of what i figured. thanks for the response. i finished adding the tie-outs about an hour ago. came out pretty well. thanks all for the info. stoked!
This is an awesome thread/experiment I dug up looking for tarp tie-out ideas! I love digging up these great nuggets of information.
I've already sewn my reinforcements on with straight stitches, and was going to just have my grosgrain tie-outs on the underside of the tarp...I'll now sandwich and use a zig-zag thread. Hopefully good for 50+ lbs even though I used straight stitching on the hem/reinforcement attachment.
