I'll leave straight from work on Friday. About 2pm.
Do you want to use the paid campsite or the overflow area?
I'm flexible ...... I like them both.

I've never been to the Sam Houston National Forest. Either option seems fine to me.
The destination isn't as important as most people think it is. Most times all you need is a direction and "that way" is often a good one. Enjoy the journey, cause you never know when or if you'll be back.
When/Where? I'm down if not otherwise obligated. (not that thats unusual in any way, shape or form)
How are the trees in the overflow?
First mate would like to bring the large metal tarp hammock, however, I'm really jonesing for the hammock .... So I'll spring for a campsite if anyone wants to hang there .... I'll only use two trees.
